Last year at about this time of year, my nephew tied the knot and married a very lovely girl. They got married and held their reception at the same place that my husband and I had our wedding at…(over 25 years ago). My brother stood up for our wedding and his wife, my bff/sister-in-law was my "Matron of Honor" and they just happened to be expecting at the time…so actually, my nephew was there with us on our big day.
Oops! I got so carried away with all the love that I got off on a tangent. But, I am here to share the card I created for my nephew and his bride. I "cased" the idea from a fellow demonstrator, but it was so long ago that I can't recall exactly who it was. Anyway, here it is….
I wanted an elegant look, so I used a metallic gold cardstock along with Whisper White and Basic Black. I created the punch art "bells" using more of the metallic gold. I added a bit of flourish and a quick greeting and a bit of ribbon & I ended up with a lovely card to present to the newlyweds.
I used a retired punch to create these "bells", but the good news is that we have a wonderful new bell punch that recently carried over into the new 2017-18 catalog! Visit http://www.always.stampinup.net and click shop now to find our line of punches. You should be able to spot the bell punch very easily.
Thanks for visiting my blog and happy stamping!
