Masculine birthday card

I have had a few people inquire about the sizes of all these tiny rectangles, so I am editing this post to include the measurements. Scroll to the bottom of this post to see the update. (Edited 10/8/2018).

Just sharing a quick and easy birthday card that I had created.

Using a designer series paper stack and a simple greeting was basically all it took to design this card.

Usually, I tend to try to come up with a unique design and spend a lot of time on trying to come up with a card, but this time the card came together relatively quickly.

I have had a few people inquire about the sizes of all these tiny rectangles, so I am editing this post to include the measurements.

– To create the base of the card, use a half-sheet of cardstock folded to 5-1/2″x4-1/4″.

– Layer on top of that a piece of coordinating c/s cut to 5-1/4″x4″.

Now for all the tiny rectangles…

– You will need four pieces of c/s cut to

1-3/4″x2-3/8″.

– To layer on top of those, you’ll also need 4 pieces of coordinating DSP cut to 1-1/2″x2-1/8″.

The greeting layer is a 2-1/2″ square of c/s topped with a 2-1/4″ piece of c/s that has been stamped with the greeting.

I am sincerely honored for the interest in my card and appreciate those who took the time to ask.

I originally built the card from the base up and adjusted my measurements as I was building the card so that it was pleasing to my sense of proportion.

It was relatively simple to put together once all the parts were cut.

I hope this will help anyone who wants to give this a try. The tiny pieces of DSP and cardstock for the rectangles on this card is also a great way to use up some of your smaller scraps.
