My Stampin’ Up framelits/thinlits magnetic storage solution.

I am a huge fan of the bundles that Stampin’ Up offers. Most times the bundle is a stamp set with a coordinating set of framelits/thinlits dies. We also sell them separately as well. Either way, it all adds up to the fact that I have acquired a collection of these wonderful framelits dies!

When you receive a set of these wonderful framelits, they will be adhered to a card with some super strong adhesive, which works wonderfully for packaging. However, pulling the dies off of the adhesive card is not always so simple.

If you have any of these die sets, you probably understand what I am talking about. It’s great adhesive to keep the dies in place in the packaging and during shipment, but since it can be a challenge to remove some of the dies from the adhesive, it is not practical when you plan to craft and create using these wonderful dies.

Fortunately, I discovered an easy and economical solution at my neighborhood helpful hardware store.

I’ve found a 3-pack of 8″x15″ magnetic vent covers that can be cut down to size to fit onto the cards that the dies are packaged on.

I have an example here using my Seasonal Tags Framelits Dies (#144685).

First I removed all the dies from the adhesive “packing card”.

Next, I trimmed a piece of the magnetic vent cover to 4″x6″.

I used the adhesive packing card as a base and centered the 4″x6″ magnetic piece onto it.

Then I just put all the pieces back onto my “magnetic card”!

It’s simple, economical and best of all… it fits back in its original packaging!

You can also customize the size of the magnetic piece to fit any size framelits set. So if you have one of the sets that are a little larger, this solution will still work.

I hope this tip will help! If you have any questions, comments or suggestions please feel free to contact me.

Until next time…happy Stampin!
