Hi Stampers!
Some of you may recognize this retired stamp from a recent catalog. It was a really fun humorous stamp set and I needed a card for a co-worker. This stamp was just perfect for that.
I combined it with another retired product from the 2017 Occasions catalog. The Color combination of Delightful Dijon and Basic Gray along with Very Vanilla was just what I needed to create a masculine card.
I made two slightly different versions of the card. I was giving the first card away but I wanted to have an extra one just in case another occasion should arise.
The cards were both created almost identically, I just made slight variations in where I stamped the greeting and a slight variation in the designer series paper layout behind the main image layer.
To stamp the inside, I used a stampin’ marker to ink ONLY the fun goat image. After you use the marker on the areas of the stamp that you need inked, it tends to dry out a little because it takes a bit of time and patience…so in order to make sure the ink will transfer to the cardstock, you huff…or lightly breathe on the stamp…
This stamp is retired but the technique is a very common one and this layout is quite simple but definitely works great for a wide variety of images. Imagine floral stamps or even one of our other fun party images…like the Birthday Delivery Bundle!
What a fun scene you could create on the outside of the card…and then just one character on the inside. I think that is what I will try next.
Check back soon to see what I come up with!
Thanks for visiting my blog!
Happy Stampin!
Mary
